Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to officially invite you to attend the 16th International Auchenorrhyncha Congress (IAC2019) and the 12th International Workshop on Leafhoppers and Planthoppers of Economic Importance. We will be delighted to have you present your latest research at the IAC.
The IAC will be held at the Cuc Phuong National Park in Ninh Binh province, Vietnam, from July 2nd to 8th 2019. All participants will be catered and housed at the Congress site. Cuc Phuong National Park is located approximately 150km from the Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi (HAN), and the Organizing Committee will provide complimentary transfers to all participants to and from the airport upon arrival and departure.
The IAC occurs every three years and congregates international experts on several biological disciplines focusing on auchenorrhynchous insects since 1973. Oral and poster presentations will verse on (1) Taxonomy, Phylogeny, and Biogeography; (2) Regional inventories; (3) Ecology; (4) Behavior and Bioacoustics; and (5) Vector interactions and resistance. Past IAC editions were held in Brazil, China, France, Germany, United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Finland, and the Netherlands. This will be the first IAC ever held in South East Asia, where the Auchenorrhyncha are extremely diverse and encompass several species of economic significance. We are positive that the IAC edition in Vietnam will stimulate novel research on the Vietnamese and Tropical biodiversity and foster fruitful international collaborations.
We will be delighted to have you present at the International Auchenorrhyncha Congress. We understand that all costs and fees related to partipating in the IAC 2019 will be paid by yourself.
Please refer to the website for more detailed information on the IAC 2019 program: https://iac.vnmn.ac.vn.

We are looking forward to seeing you at this exciting event.
Best regards,
Thai
